therapy
|
In addition to making art, I'm also a therapist. I'm a clinical social worker and addictions counselor currently licensed in the state of Montana. While the work I do is grounded in neuroscience and other Western ways of knowing, my background in the arts strongly informs my practice; I see therapy as a creative and mutual process. I work primarily with adult women and nonbinary folks and specialize in trauma and addiction. I am certified in Integral Somatic Psychology and am trained in Implicit Psychotherapy and Brainspotting. My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in our relationship as a safe container for healing. I work collaboratively with clients to create a space that feels nonjudgemental, and empowering. I strive to meet each client's unique challenges slowly, consistently, and with enough presence and self-compassion to make space for healing. Through exploring how our past continues to live in our minds and bodies, we can work to build capacity, strengthen relationships, and expand access to meaning and connection. |
